\nGreat attention has been paid to English Medium Instruction (EMI) in higher education since the Taiwan Government announced its bilingual policy by 2030. Numerous universities and colleges have made attempts to promote internationalization through EMI practices. Being the only language university in Taiwan, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages is pleased to share its strategic plan and practices to promote EMI at the meso (policy) and micro (classroom) levels. With our success and challenges to promote EMI, we encourage other universities to reflect on their EMI strategies.
\nIssues for this conference include: How have EMI implementations been made in various disciplines, particularly in the social sciences and humanities? How can EMI meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, specifically teachers and students?
\n\u3000\u3000Thus, this one-day conference will divide the presentations into the meso and micro levels. The morning section highlights the administrative implementations. This will be followed by the afternoon session with instructors who will share their classroom practices focused on three themes: (1) disciplinary literacy, (2) teaching strategies, and (3) learning strategies in EMI.
